Hillbilly Demons Meet & Greet

You’re cordially invited to the….

The Hillbilly Demons have been around since September of 2017. For over half a decade now at this point, the band has played venues all over Colorado, spreading their infectious energy with audiences everywhere,

The band originally started as nothing but a dream. A couple of guys, some guitars, and some JΓ€germeister has exploded into something nobody involved could’ve ever imagined.

Together, the Hillbilly Demons made their name known throughout the Colorado music scene. In 2022 they put out the album 13 (and even had one of the album’s songs play on the radio!), they’ve watched the music scene evolve, and they’re ready for the future. More than anything else, they are excited to see where the music will take them.

Matt Wheatley,
Bass & Vocals

Before Matt Wheatley ever played bass in a country band, he was a classically trained guitar player who hated country music. He also didn’t think he had much stage presence to begin with, so he decided he wanted to become someone people would want to come out and see. Since the start of his musical journey, he’s been part of many a rock and metal band, but the Demons were his first foray into doing country β€” and now it’s what he likes to do the most… especially when he gets to see his bandmates and brothers enjoying themselves on stage.

There’s a lot to say about the quiet, enigmatic man known as Danny Ramirez, He’s completely self taught guitar player, starting his musical journey at the tender age of 12. Since his start, he’s played music of many genres: death metal, blues, ragtime, Top 40, pop, hard rock, and now he’s settled down with country. He has had many influences but has found his own style . He has full range to do whatever comes naturally In his guitar playing. He feels when it comes to playing in Hillbilly Demons that they simply connect when they are on stage . They play for each other and for all who come out to see them play. Danny states, β€œ I can always depend on my brothers.”

Guitar & Vocals

Dustin Jensen,
Acoustic & Vocals

Dustin Jensen has wanted to join the Hillbilly Demons since he first saw them on stage, and now he’s finally getting to live his dream. He was raised on country, bluegrass, and badass rock β€˜n roll classics, and all of them have helped lead him down this musical path of wonder. He’s a mostly self taught guitar player and vocalist, he can play the mandolin and the banjo, he’s learning the violin, and he’s got no plans to stop learning. There’s even more goodness to come!

Eric Allwine, Drums

Eric has been a part of the local music scene for over 30 years and has performed everywhere from small stages to venues across Europe. His musical style spans across many genres including Classic Rock, Country, Punk, Rockabilly and Metal.

Now Eric brings his unique drumming style to the Hillbilly Demons.

CD Liner Notes

From the beginning, this band has been defining itself by defying definition. Are they a rock band? Are they country? Is that guitar player wearing a Hatebreed shirt? What's with the skinny guy? Man, those guys harmonize their asses off!

In the beginning, they were a cover band with a catalog spanning genres and decades. They played everything and anything and no matter what they played, it sounded amazing. The chemistry the band has as a unit is unmatched. Every song they covered became theirs. Playing venues previously only catering to rock bands, and filling them. Packed houses became standard and people filled rock club dance floors with line dancing. Then, the world shut down and the music stopped for awhile.

Packed dance floors were replaced with livestreams from their living rooms. Each man filled his timeslot with covers but also the songs they'd been writing. Songs about love, lost love, found love, pennies, new fatherhood and drinking β€˜til you're ashamed of yourself. Once the world reopened, these Demons emerged first and played to quarter full houses all over town, bringing live music back to traumatized audiences. Their missing piece found during lockdown, with a new member and a new mission: To play all the new originals, mixed in with the covers they are known for.

...and the people loved the songs.

These Demons won Best Biker Band. They played outside when necessary and played two gigs in one day a few times. They are sought after and grace stages all over the state. People donated money. They bought merchandise emblazoned with Demons designs. They shouted for an album of the originals they hear at shows.

Here it is.

This is the album. Requested by the fans, made for the fans, because of the fans. This album is a love letter to you, to their families, to the people that love them, the people who believed in then and the people who didn't. This is an album, written and performed by 4 metal guys who defy definition...

Your Hillbilly Demons.
